Each year the JAX Chamber salutes the entrepreneurial spirit of the Jacksonville's small business with the Small Business Leader of the Year Award.
The JAX IT Council has nominated Kevin Johnson, CEO of Secure Ideas for Small Business Leader of the Year. Secure Ideas is more than a company, it's a wonderful example of how a ton of good can be done by a small group of people. Kevin Johnson founded Secure Ideas to help companies safeguard information the right way. That means doing his work while adhering to arrangements reached with his clients and staying on the right side of the law. At the same time Kevin shared with us his passion for charity, while letting us in on his relationship with the 501st Legion, a Star Wars charity group. Kevin Johnson is CEO and Senior Security Analyst with Secure Ideas. Kevin came to security from a development and system administration background. He has many years of experiecne performaing security services for Fortune 100 companies, and in his spare time contributes to a large number of open source security projects. Kevin founded and leads the development on B.A.S.E (the Basic Analysis and Security Engine) project.
