HealthTech+Party: Machine Learning with Mayo, and Patient On-Demand Transport

  • MOSH 1025 Museum Circle Jacksonville, FL, 32207 United States (map)

Join us for the second event of our 2018 "Emerging Tech in Jax" series, featuring Healthcare Tech in Jax. Oh, and of course the rooftop afterparty with a killer view of downtown Jax, and amazing food provided by our food sponsor TacoLu and drinks poured by our friends at The Volstead!

What you can expect: After the networking happy hour at MOSH with a sneak preview of a new exhibit, you will enter the planetarium to hear from the experts listed below. After the speakers, we will adjourn to the rooftop for a DJ and afterparty with a view of downtown and great people to mingle with. Food provided for free by TacoLu, best baja mexicana in Jax, and drinks poured by the crew from The Volstead!

We are lucky to have the opportunity to hear from these local enterprises driving health tech innovations:

NLP Logix is breaking barriers in machine learning in their partnership with the Mayo Clinic. They are collaborating to apply Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning algorithms to extensive data sets with the goal of early identification of neurological diseases, stroke detection, and other areas. Come hear about some of the latest findings, the newest experiments, and how machine learning and AI are changing the game in healthcare and disease detection.
Speakers: Matt Berseth, Lead Scientist, NLP Logix, and Dr. Vivek Gupta, Neuroradiologist, Mayo Clinic

One Call Care Management is another local enterprise that is innovating and changing the game in healthcare. They are a long time leader in workers' compensation claims management and other areas, and have brought to market a "Ridesharing for Healthcare" solution, partnering with Lyft, delivering thousands of patients to appointments weekly, along with other upcoming exciting innovations in the patient care arena. This is a rare chance to hear how disruptive change in the healthcare transportation segment is tackling a significant portion of the patient adherence dilemma, while creating opportunities to expand into other health adjacent markets.
Speaker: Joe McCullough, Sr. Vice President, One Call Care Management

Rooftop Afterparty and TacoLu Food – Join us after the discussion from 8-10pm for food, drinks, conversation, a DJ, and a great view of downtown Jacksonville. Bartending and some specialty drinks will be provided by The Volstead.

Special thanks to the Museum of Science and History (MOSH) for access to the planetarium and rooftop party. Attendees will also get a sneak preview of the newest exhibit that will just be loaded in that day, Earth Explorers, a National Geographic exhibit that includes interactive tech and augmented reality exhibits.
